Staying ahead in a squeezed retail market

In today’s retail landscape, growth is harder than ever. Customer expectations are rising, loyalty is shrinking, and physical stores are under pressure from both international competitors and online giants. At the same time, retailers are facing increasing costs from inflation to higher rents while customers are spending less.

Even with a solid market position, Jack & Jones saw untapped potential in their store teams. The question was clear: How do we help our people deliver even better service, sell more, and stay motivated without pulling them off the floor or adding extra training days?

Seamless and fun on-the-job learning with Ludoo

In early Q4 2024, Jack & Jones partnered with Ludoo to roll out its digital training platform across 42 Swedish stores. The onboarding was completed in just two weeks, equipping every store with tools designed to make learning easy, engaging, and part of everyday work.

Practical, game-based, on-the-job learning

Employees sharpened their sales and service skills directly on the job through Ludoos short, bingo-style challenges. From personal customer greeting phrases to offering tailored recommendations, the practical challenges were quickly and easily incorporated into sales and service habits.

Real-time insights for smarter coaching

With Ludoo’s real-time tracking, regional and store managers could see which actions drove performance and where to focus their coaching. Engagement data made it easy to recognize top-performing teams, provide timely feedback, and keep energy and momentum high. All while saving time on analytics.

Peer-driven learning on the floor

Teams played and learned together, tackling the same challenges, alternating between competing and helping each other improve throughout the day. The shared experience also allowed managers to easily check in, give feedback, and coach staff in quick stand-ups instead of formal sit-downs.

Real impact on sales, engagement, and customer experience

Beyond sales impact, Ludoo’s engagement data gave managers something they’d never had before: a clear window into what staff were actually doing on the floor, how they applied training in real time and how it impacts the sell out. It quickly became so valuable that it’s now one of five core KPIs tracked across all Jack & Jones stores.

And the momentum hasn’t stopped. Results continue to grow in 2025, with improvements in mystery shopping scores, world-class campaign sell-out results and more:
